June 2, 1997 Philadelphia Daily News PO Box 7788 Phila., PA 19101 Dear Editors: We were extremely disturbed by the Dr. Laura Schlessinger column about heterosexism which you ran in a section purporting to address the concerns of modern women. Dr. Schlessinger's column was actually a diatribe against religious beliefs that hold all loving human relationships in equal regard, and was based purely on her religious opinion masquerading as (outdated) science. In short, the column was medically suspect, religiously offensive, socially irresponsible and overwhelmingly insulting.
