The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 10 congregations and religious
organizations and 46 clergy from 14 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.

Dear Editors:

Adrian F. Cerny (letter, September 10) cannot see the
difference between a moral system which emphasizes
justice and equality and no moral system at all. Cerny
blames this perceived lack of morals on the development
of a multicultural society. The United States has
always been a diverse country. Multiculturalism is
merely a recognition of our diversity. That
recognition has made it more obvious to many people
that loving our neighbors as ourselves and how we treat
the stranger or the least among us is more important
than, and can sometimes conflict with, the regulation
of personal relationships.

Sincerely,
