December 17, 1997 Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel Box 371 Milwaukee,WI 53201-0371 Dear Editors: We were appalled to learn that Wisconsin Christians United has been distributing leaflets discussing the beliefs of gay-friendly pastors. This is an obvious intimidation technique designed to spur a violent reaction; the explanation that the purpose is to inform members of the pastors' congregations is patently ridiculous; how could they not know their own clergy person's position on such a major issue? The number of clergy and congregations that support equality for sexual minorities is growing so rapidly that this attempt to make it seem abnormal is ridiculously futile and desperate.
