The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 12 congregations and religious
organizations and 50 clergy from 15 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.

Dear Editors:

Many religious people and organizations from Jewish,
Christian, and other traditions recognize that families
come in many forms because, among other things, they
believe that same-gender relationships are morally
equivalent to mixed-gender relationships. "Love Makes
a Family" is merely an illustration of an idea that is
rapidly gaining acceptance but is as yet only
marginally recognized in law. One traveling photo
exhibit illustrating a "tiny percentage" of the
population is hardly enough to balance the enormous
amount of "propaganda" to the contrary. And yet it is
powerful enough that "Love Makes a Family" has elicited
a very strong reaction from Mr. Lessner. Perhaps
equality of loving relationships under the law is such
an innately moral idea that exposure to a few
photographs will profoundly alter people's thinking.
We can only hope and pray.

Sincerely,
