The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 10 congregations and religious
organizations and 39 clergy from 13 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.

Dear Editor:

Thank you very much for the May 15 Broadsides column
about coming out on the Main Line. One of the most
unfortunate obstacles to coming out are religious
organizations that tell people that they must choose
between their homosexuality and their faith.
Fortunately there are congregations, clergy, and
religious support and advocacy groups from many faith
traditions throughout the Philadelphia area that are
dedicated to helping individuals integrate their sexual
and religious lives. Confidential referrals are
available through the Interfaith Working Group by email
(iwg@libertynet.org) or by leaving a message on our
voice mail (215-235-3050).

Sincerely,
Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom
