In an age when people feel less and less connected to society it is a major tragedy that so many people are being expelled from their religious communities in which they grew up simply because they or their family members tell the truth about who they really are. Fortunately there are congregations, clergy and support groups in faith communities all over the country who are working diligently to bring an end this awful prejudice, against what sometimes seems like overwhelming opposition.
