The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 10 congregations and religious
organizations and 39 clergy from 13 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.

Dear Editors:

Thank you for your article about Sally Morse and the
PFLAG convention. In an age when people feel less and
less connected to society it is a major tragedy that so
many people are being expelled from their religious
communities in which they grew up simply because they
or their family members tell the truth about who they
really are. Fortunately there are congregations,
clergy and support groups in faith communities all over
the country who are working diligently to bring an end
this awful prejudice, against what sometimes seems like
overwhelming opposition.

A directory of such organizations is available through
our World Wide Web pages at

Sincerely,
