The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 10 congregations and religious
organizations and 42 clergy from 14 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.

Dear Editor:

A rapidly growing number of clergy and congregations
from the many denominations within the Jewish and
Christian traditions do not believe that homosexuality
is "an abomination," or that it has anything to do with
Sodom. Andrey V. Korolenko seems not to realize that
while there are many explanations in the Bible for why
God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, not one of them lists
the sexual orientation of the inhabitants, and
certainly none of them lists the existence of a non-
discrimination policy or the actions of a Human
Relations Commission.

Sincerely,
