Dear Editors:

We were fascinated by the letter from a reader who
raised purely religious objections to the creation of
a particular kind of private school. It is bad enough
when people try to use one of the numerous Christian
viewpoints on human sexuality to control public
education, thereby creating an atmosphere of
intolerance and violence which forces sexual minority
students into segregated educational settings. But it
has gotten completely out of hand when someone
criticizes a private school for welcoming sexual
minority students.

Sincerely,
Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom
