The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 3 congregations, 6 religious
organizations and 37 clergy from 13 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.

Dear Editors:

If Craig Trowbridge thinks that the Unitarian
Universalist Association is unique in its affirmation
of its sexual minority members he obviously does not
spend much time actually reading the Daily News. In
last week's story about Integrity and Deliverance
Evangelistic Church, reporter Ron Goldwyn specifically
mentioned widespread support for sexual minorities
among mainline Protestants and Reform and
Reconstructionist Jews. There are a variety of
meanings that can be inferred from many Biblical
passages, and the fact that people of faith differ on
what the Bible says about sexual orientation should
not surprise anybody.

Sincerely,
Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom
