The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 3 congregations, 6 religious
organizations and 37 clergy from 13 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.

Dear Editors:

We were appalled to read of the harassment and
vandalism committed against the members and property of
the Church of the Trinity Metropolitan Community
Church. Religious intolerance has never led to good.
We pray that the leaders of all the churches in the
area will speak out against this behavior and visibly
support their neighbors in need. In a country based on
the principles of religious freedom, it is up to
religious people and institutions to demonstrate that
people with different opinions can live side by side in
peace.

Sincerely,
Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom
