Subject: Yet Another IWG Don Feder Letter
Date: Mon, 13 Oct 1997 22:56:03 -0400 (EDT)

The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 10 congregations and religious
organizations and 48 clergy from 14 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.

Dear Editors:

Like Jews, Christians hold a wide variety of opinions
about homosexuality, abortion, and school prayer. It
is completely unreasonable for Don Feder to assume that
most Christians will a) react badly to some well-known
Jewish organizations supporting gay rights,
reproductive freedom, and the separation of church and
state, or b) assume that all Jews think alike.

Mr. Feder's concern that he will be incorrectly
categorized is somewhat ironic given his tendency to
apply religious and sexual stereotypes to everyone
else.

Sincerely,
Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom
