The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 10 congregations and religious
organizations and 46 clergy from 14 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.

Dear Mr. Robinson:

We would give the same advice to the clergy in
Asheville concerning the Pride Parade that we give to
the clergy in Philadelphia every year: Get out there
and march! Demonstrate your love for all people, let
folks know your house of worship is an open house, and
atone for the abuse that religious institutions have
heaped on sexual minorities over the centuries. We
cannot think of a better way to demonstrate the ideal
expressed in many faiths of breaking bread with
outcasts and strangers.

Sincerely,
Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom
