organizations and 35 clergy from 12 faiths and denominations. If you are in 
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious 
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths

Dear Editor:

Thomas Sowell's assertion that same-sex couples who
want the state to recognize their marriages are
"pretending to be somebody else" is an insult to the
growing number of congregations and faiths which make
no gender distinctions in performing marriages and do
not have a separate category called "gay marriage." 
Contrary to Sowell's assertions, marriage is a
spiritual, economic, and legal relationship between
two people which usually involves a sexual component
that is no one else's business.
