If you are in the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in other areas. We are adamantly opposed to any legislation limiting marriage to opposite-sex couples, especially S. 1740, the misnamed "Defense of Marriage Act". The time has come to discuss this issue openly as a society; pushing through anti-marriage legislation without extensive public debate is not in anyone's best interest. Sincerely, Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom Interfaith Working Group Coordinators
