The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 2 congregations, 5 religious
organizations and 35 clergy from 12 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas. Visit the web page at http://www.libertynet.org/~iwg/.

Dear Editors:

Thank you for publishing Chris Glaser's excellent
commentary on marriage. Mr. Glaser is fortunate (or
unfortunate) enough to live in a time when society is
finally abandoning archaic notions about the nature of
gender. Some sections of the religious community are
out in front of the rest of society advocating the
legal and religious recognition of same-gender
marriages, and others are lagging behind, claiming that
those who are actually leading are merely following.
We are blessed that Mr. Glaser has chosen to play a
large part in witnessing to the Presbyterian Church
(USA) and the religious community in general.

					Sincerely,
