The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 2 congregations, 5 religious
organizations and 35 clergy from 12 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas. Visit the web page at http://www.libertynet.org/~iwg/.

Dear Editors:

In his quoted comments on pending adoption legislation
Lou Sheldon demonstrates concisely that heterosexism is
just another form of sexism. Sheldon says that
children should see "father committed to the paycheck
and mother committed to the grocery list" in order to
be correctly socialized. Apparently even households in
which both parents are clergy are not fit environments
for children. The Traditional Values Coalition isn't
just out to deny basic human rights to sexual
minorities, but to anyone who doesn't conform to their
anachronistic definitions of gender roles and family.
They're out to drive every woman back into the kitchen,
and every man back out of it; wake up folks, they're
coming for you next.

					Sincerely,
