If you are in the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in other areas. Visit the web page at http://www.libertynet.org/~iwg/. November 1, 1996 Lancaster Intelligencer Journal Readers Forum 8 W. King Street Lancaster, PA 17603 Dear Editors: It is obvious from Russell Pugh's attack on Laura Montgomery Rutt that Mr. Pugh views morality as a purely Christian virtue which is diametrically opposed to homosexuality. Mr. Pugh does Christianity a great disservice by complaining about people criticizing Christians for "exercising their rights," and by complaining about groups like the Alliance for Tolerance and Freedom afflicting the comfortable. Christianity does not exist to serve the status quo. We do expect heated resistance to change, but that does not make the resistance right or moral. Mr. Pugh should expect and recognize that people of many faiths, including Christians, will be on the side of the afflicted, and will not take kindly to the suggestion that we should all just "lighten up" about persecution. Is "chair" feminine? Foreign kids know, but WE don't. No wonder we can't compete in a global market! -Calvin
