the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious

Dear Mr. Lewis:

Thank you for your excellent column supporting same-
gender marriage.  It is especially important just after
the DOMA vote to remind people that the discussion is
not over.  The times ahead may be stormy and divisive,
but the goal is just. We as a nation have managed,
however slowly and stormily, to overcome one artificial
legal inequality after another during the last one-
hundred and thirty years.  There is no reason to doubt
that in this case justice will also prevail, and the
marriages of same-gender couples will be legally
recognized as marriages.
