As Mr. Auth's cartoon so aptly illustrated, legislation that denies equal protection to any specific minority is a threat to us all. While your coverage of the hearings has been excellent and thorough, we believe that such an organized attack on America's true traditional values of equal rights, individual liberty and protection from religious tyranny should be reported on page one. Sincerely, Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom Interfaith Working Group Coordinators October 14, 1995 Tony Auth The Philadelphia Inquirer PO Box 8263 Phila., PA 19101 Dear Mr. Auth: Thank you for your October 12 editorial cartoon about Colorado's Amendment 2 hearings before the Supreme Court. Legislation that denies equal protection to any specific minority is indeed a threat to us all. America's true traditional values of equal rights, individual liberty and protection from religious tyranny are suffering a well-orchestrated attack from the various groups comprising the Radical Religious Right. Thank you for helping to expose their agenda. Keep up the good work. Sincerely, Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom Interfaith Working Group Coordinators
