Subject: Focus on the Family, 8/29


Dear All, 

Please note that the Focus on the Family Renewing the Heart event will
take place one week from today, on Saturday, August 29.  Please plan to be
at the Arena downtown by 7:00 a.m. to catch the incoming crowd and to be
seen by reporters.  Bring all your friends, and signs and posters with
positive messages on the theme of "Pro-family Equals Pro-Gay."  

We'll have a statement to hand out to reporters as well that talks about
including l/g/b/t members equally in families and calls on FOF leaders
to rethink their work.  It also points out the dangers of James Dobson's
recent attempts to browbeat the Republican Party into following his
narrow, sectarian social agenda.  

Please let me know if you plan to attend, so I'll have some idea of how
many people to expect.
