The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and Digital Queers (DQ) will present a forum on current Internet public policy issues, examining issues of privacy, censorship, Internet filtering, profiling and advocacy. Additional topics will be the nature of the "online closet" and the impact of the Internet and Silicon Valley upon the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. A party: GLAAD and DQ will also give special remarks addressing their shared vision for the future of cyberactivism. Following the panel, the two groups will host a special party for conference attendees, journalists, activists and all those interested in the fusion of activism and technology.
