Here is a list of my favorite organizations (the addresses are somewhat
biased towards the L.A. area). If you know of other addresses, please
post.

The organizations can be divided into three types:
1) Those which lobby for new legislation (NGLTF)
2) Those which test the limits of current laws (LLDEF, HTG)
3) Those that increase gay visibility and public/media awareness (GLAAD,
   The Awareness Project)

All these organizations need your support! There are tens of thousands
of readers to soc.motss, and probably many of you are not members of
these organizations. If everyone contributed a little money, it could
make our lives much better.

Even if you can't spare the money, it is still important to participate
in activities (writing to your congresspeople about upcoming legislation
and writing to television stations, newspapers, etc. when you something
that you like or dislike).
