Hi Everyone: A while back I posted something on Gaynet about the Gaylaxians. I've had a couple of requests for info. so here's all of it. The Gaylactic Network is an international organization for gay people and their friends who are interested in science fiction and fantasy. Founded in 1987, its purposes are to promote science fiction in all its forms, especially material which deals with and is of interest to gay people, and to help gay fans contact and develop friendships with each other and to share their interets. Membership in the network is open to anyone anywhere who supports its goals. There are a number of local gaylactic groups (see below for some of them) as well as a gaylaxians international for those who don't live close to a group. Besides meetings and outings to movies, etc., there is a national convention once per year. The following are some of the address: Gaylaxian Science Fiction Society (central New England) Capital District Gaylaxians (Albany, NY) Tri-State Gaylaxians (NYC, NJ, and CONN) Philadelphia Area Gaylaxians (Phil and Penn) Lambda Sci-Fi: DC Area Gaylaxians (Baltimore and Wash DC) Great Lakes Gaylaxians (SE Michigan and Ontario) North Country Gaylaxians (Minn) as well as Denver, CO., North and South CA, Texas, England, Louisianna, Etc. o the: Gaylactic Network, PO Box 1051, Back Bay Annex Boston, MASS. 02117-1051, United States.
