Audre Lorde's memorial fund
A memorial fund has been established in Audre Lorde's name for two purposes:  
1.) To commission a sculpture of a bust of Audre Lorde; 2.) To establish a 
scholarship fund for Black Women writers in the name of Audre Lorde.  The 
Astrea Foundation will accept these funds.  Please make checks payable to:  
The Astrea Foundationn/Audre Lorde Memorial Fund, and mail your check to : The 
Astrea Foundation, 666 Broadway, Suite 520, New York, NY  10012. 
In lieu of flowers please make donations to SISA - Sisterhood in Support of

A memorial service will be held in St. Croix on December 13.  Plans for a 
memorial service in New York City are being made.
