ACTRESS STOCKARD CHANNING TO APPEAR AT
PFLAG NATIONAL CONFERENCE, APRIL 28-30, 2000

(Washington, D.C.) Actress Stockard Channing will appear at
Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays' (PFLAG) national
conference, "PFLAG: Family Voices for Equality," to be held in Washington,
D.C., April 28-30, 2000. Channing is an award-winning actress of stage,
screen, and television and has a starring role in the recently released
film, Isn't She Great? In addition, Channing will star in the Lifetime
Television original movie, Jane's Coming Out Party, about a mother who
learns her daughter is a lesbian, scheduled to air in August.

"We are incredibly excited to welcome Stockard Channing to our
conference," said PFLAG National Executive Director Kirsten Kingdon. "She
is a rare talent who has demonstrated an uncanny ability to connect with her
audience, in any given role. I know that she will do the same with our more
than one-thousand conference attendees," Kingdon added.

PFLAG's "Family Voices for Equality" conference will feature a vast
array of workshops and networking opportunities, as well as specialized
training, plenary sessions, and insightful speakers. Other notable
personalities expected to participate in the conference include Betty
DeGeneres, Ellen's mom; former Rep. Steve Gunderson (R-WI); Jimmy Creech,
the Methodist minister punished by his church for performing same-sex holy
unions; and Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA).
