So far eight cities (five in states that will have 1994 ballot initiatives) have been targeted by NBGLLF: Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati and Cleveland, OH; Detroit, MI; Los Angeles, CA; St. Louis, MO; and Seattle, WA. In these cities NBGLLF will pull together existing Black lesbigay organizations and/or help to form new ones. Among their many publications is Right Wing Watch, a monthly newsletter that details current Right Wing agenda items "by reviewing their direct mail appeals and scanning Religious Right television broadcast and activities". People for the American Way has started a program of opposition research on national Right Wing groups. Their first target is the Traditional Values Coalition. Johnson is directly responsible for detailing Right Wing anti-gay activities. They are also committed to organizing resistance to Right Wing programs, primarily through public education and networking. PRA conducts research on contract or by request, charging a moderate fee.
