CORETTA SCOTT KING TO RECEIVE NGLTF'S "HONORING OUR ALLIES" AWARD FOR COMMITMENT TO CIVIL RIGHTS FOR ALL WASHINGTON, DC -- September 10, 1997 WHO: Coretta Scott King will speak about her commitment to civil rights for members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community and her historic support for all human rights. WHAT: Mrs. King receives the eighth annual "Honoring Our Allies" award from the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. This award will also be given to AFL-CIO President John Sweeney and the Mautner Project for Lesbians with Cancer.
