ALERT: CABINET APPOINTMENTS

With the elections over, several members of President Clinton's cabinet have
announced their resignation, including Secretary of Defense William Perry. It is
rumored that Senator Sam Nunn, architect of the "don't ask, don't tell, don't 
pursue" policy, is a leading contender to replace Perry.  

SLDN hopes that the President will select a Secretary of Defense who is
committed to ending the witch hunts and imprisonment of suspected gay troops, as
promised under current regulations. Wire services are reporting the selection
could be announced as early as Friday, November 8th.
