JOIN THE FIGHT AGAINST 
UNJUST IMMIGRATION LAW!

Are you currently in a relationship with a non American?  The Lesbian and 
Gay Immigration and Asylum Rights Task Force, recently formed in New York 
under the auspices of Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund and The 
International Lesbian and Gay Association, is addressing the issues of 
discriminatory immigration laws.  We meet monthly to discuss issues 
related to the failure of immigration law to recognize same sex couples, 
while allowing the non American heterosexual spouse of an American to 
freely immigrate to this country.  We are interested in hearing your 
stories from around the world and the United States where immigration 
discriminatino has been experienced.  We also hear about related issues 
like the ban on those seropositive for HIV and the plight of those 
fleeing persecution based on sexual orientation in their native countries 
where being lesbian or gay may deprive one of basic human rights or even

We are collecting personal stories about how lives of lesbians &  gay men 
have been affected by discriminatory immigration laws.  We have more 
information and it is available in languages other than English for those
