This international gay cultural organization will be present in full force during Gay Games IV and Cultural Festival. LGBA members will first be seen appearing with the Lesbian and Gay Big Apple Corps of New York at Opening Ceremonies. Later in the week the massed band will star in a concert event at the Paramount at Madison Square Garden. Scheduled for Thursday evening, June 23rd, the show, called here and now!, will feature about 200 LGBA band members from across the United Statesand parts of Canada. LGBA has extended an invitation for musicians from all over the world to jointhem in playing during the week, making this a truly multi-national event. The program features pianist James Adler playing Rhapsody in Blue, an nternational chorus hosted by the Stonewall Chorale combining with the band for When We No Longer Touch, and the Bay Area Raw Rahs adding their own special gaiety to this event. At the end of the week LGBA will convert back to a marching band for a spectacular performance at Closing Ceremonies and the Stonewall 25 march.
