    RICH TAFEL GUEST AT COSMOPOLITAN COMMUNITY CENTER BRUNCH
     

Miami, Florida.  On Sunday, January 18th, the Miami Cosmopolitan
Community Center will feature guest speaker Richard Tafel,
National Executive Director of Log Cabin Republicans, at their
Sunday Brunch. This will be an historic first for Tafel, the
American Legion Post 29 where the Center is housed and the local
community itself.

Andy Eddy, Director of Community Relations and Outreach for South
Florida's LCR noted "this address is historic because it not only
points to the growing cooperation between LesBiGay organizations
but highlights the dialogue that now exists between progressive
American Legion Post leaders and our diverse community.

Tafel, who is in South Florida for a Political Education Seminar,
will address guests on issues dealing with the importance of
grass-root involvement as well as touchng upon Log Cabin's AIDS
activism on the Hill.
