Box 1281, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33302 (954) LCR- 1995 RE: THE ISSUE OF PRESIDENTIAL IMPEACHMENT Dear Honorable Florida Congressional Representative: We assume, from the releases and correspondence flowing across the Internet and visible in the media, you and many of your colleagues are besieged with requests which suggest that anything but a "NO" vote on an article of impeachment against President Clinton would be in opposition to the wishes of the people of your district and of the United States. Many Log Cabin members believe that attacking any citizen of the United States for consensual behavior, "privately" occurring between adults behind closed doors, is not grounds for entrapment or dismissal. Concerning the President of the United States, the subject matter is more of an issue of honesty, credibility and accountability to the people and the system under which he serves. Therefore, persons who do not truthfully respond under oath face grave consequences which are set in place so that our judicial system works uniformly and fairly. We understand this is a difficulty time for many of our elected representatives but we hope and pray that the good of the country is served by whatever decision you make regarding this sensitive matter. We support you and your colleagues during these trying times. --------------------------------------------------------------- End of Message 7-G BLCCF E-B.B. ---------------------------------------------------------------
