Box 139 Jackson, MS 39205 RE: 2/13/97 Evangelical AFA Fundamentalist Press Release on Domestic Partnership Ban in Mississippi Dear Honorable Governor Fordice: Contrary to the beliefs of the politically active "AFA" evangelical fundamentalists we, in the Log Cabin Club of Florida, find such "religious inquisitors" not only defying "freedom of religion" but "freedom from religious persecution." It is obvious that one day they too will apologize to non- heterosexuals, as did the Southern Baptist to non-whites, for the misuse of the Bible and the Christian faith as a tool to enslave, demonize, create fear, and instill hate. We are sorry that you have not taken the time to understand. Likewise, many caring, loving, and dedicated-loyal-American non- heterosexuals apologize for not reaching out so that their pain could be understood by you and other fine Mississippians. With warm personal regards we remain, Respectfully yours, M. Warren, President Broward Log Cabin Club of Florida P.O. Box 1281, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. 33302 cc.
