FLORIDA REPUBLICANS HAIL VICTORY OF INCLUSION Monday, December 2, 1996, Ft.Lauderdale. The Broward County Log Cabin Club of Florida was extremely pleased and satisfied with the outcome of the County Republican Executive Committee Elections which now affords a return to greater moderation and inclusion for the grass-roots party of Lincoln. Newly elected officials offered an olive branch to staunch conservatives and socially moderate republicans both seemingly at odds over the direction of the GOP according to a number of political analysts. Of importance to Log Cabin Republicans is the open door approach of the new Broward County Republican Executive Committee which now offers a more inclusive community voice to South Florida. Mof Warren, President of the Gold Coast Log Cabin Club was pleased with the results and informed LCR supporters, Dr. LoPiccolo and Andrew Eddy, that, " I'm elated by your tedious outreach with all factions of the community and the party. Now, the members of Broward Republican Executive Committee by their action, demonstrate to all that the 'big tent' theory of the national leadership is more of a reality at the grass roots than before." He further noted "we must not exclude anyone any longer because the pressing issues of this nation must be addressed by all at the conference table not just a chosen few if tolerable and acceptable solutions are to be found."
