Lauderdale, FL 33302 For Immediate Release **************************************************************** MILITARY BAN - SENATE TO DORNAN - DON'T Once again Rep. Dornan of California and other supporters of the politically active evangelical-supremacists, have seemingly mounted another smear campaign against dedicated and patriotic gay Americans who credibly and honorably serve in the military. Social conservative extremists, who allege there is no discrimination against gays, therefore, there is no need for equality of rights actions for them, are not addressing reality. The are scapegoating once again! While Dornan can apparently say what he well pleases because of immunity as a member of Congress, allegations of his bearing false and/or distorted witness against gays will eventually prove to be a sham and mockery of his credibility. He and others like him, when not addressing all the facts openly and honestly at the table of equality and compromise, forget that long-term accountability and honesty will eventually balance out on the scale of justice just as it has for Irish-Americans, Catholics, etc. Once again it would be best for the Congressional "Inquisitors" to serve the needs of this nation with regard to those who have fallen through the cracks because of misguided downsizing, the abuses in the insurance industry, the shams in the banking industry all of which have resulted in taxpayer bail-outs while fees rise - community service erodes. It's about time these C.I.'s recognize the Resolution Trust's alleged massive skewed property sales, the real cause in the alleged break down of the family, collect the uncollected airline federal taxes which are an oversight of Congress, etc. etc. A real fact Mr. Donnan is that many business owners would more seriously consider skipping a tax cut if government went to work and cleaned up their credit cards like the rest of America must do. Stop the smoke screen nonsense on gays and tackle the real meat-and-potato issues of the day! While "Rome Burns" creating the great "DC Beltway Smokescreen" the House National Security Committee said a repeal of the "don't ask-don't tell" policy is imperative because it "has created a sanctuary for known homosexuals...likely to engage in homosexual acts," yet it accepts all heterosexual conduct without the slightest hint of a parallel witch-hunt frenzy.
