BOX 1281, FT. LAUDERDALE, FL. 33302 (954) 563-3626 PAT BUCHANAN ECHOES THE WORDS OF FL.CRACKER ANDER CRENSHAW ....An Ole Southern Johns Commission Advocate Who Caused Jeb Bush to Stumble to Defeat in South Florida! When we examine the social bigotry of extremely conservative fundamentalists we readily understand that the "coming of age," as revealed in the Evangelical Christian Coalition agenda, is radically opposed to that which affords valid and credible outreach in a civil manner both spiritually and political mature in wisdom and understanding. Social moderates have a more tolerant and open mind to the concept of love and equality which unfolds within the Biblical belief that "We Are All God's Children" and then again in the much talked about "Celestine Prophecy." Obviously rigid fundamentalists, religious or otherwise, do not. Herein lies the hostility and denial. A reason for radical activism and the rise of denial to equitable access. Broward Log Cabin Club of Florida holds that, Constitutionally, all are created equal and are deserving of "Life, Liberty, Justice and the Pursuit of Happiness" regardless of a religious affiliation or political agenda. Broward Log Cabin Club of Florida finds Pat Buchanan's support of exclusion based on sexual orientation a violation of the Constitutional belief that we are all equal with regard to access, opportunity and rights under the law. There must be "Freedom of Religion" and "Freedom from Religious Persecution." Broward Log Cabin Club of Florida believes that the real job that must be tackled to achieve stability, faith in leadership, trust in our institutions and nation-wide credibility -ideals all raped by materialism, downsizing, the two family income household, etc. -are being overlooked during these "Primary Days." Tragically, the subliminal message of exclusion continues to be advanced by the conservative fundamentalist right who continually mount a social inquisition against gay women and men. The Buchanan path of exclusion over the reality of 21st Century inclusiveness, if adopted as the official political agenda, will result in a Progressive Republican set-back for the party and the nation. Visible and invisible bigotry have laid the seeds of distortion and misinformation which rob many of their faith, church, freedom and hope. Once again those same evil demonizing seeds must not be used to rob a minority community of their equality under a "living" Constitution that has democratically safeguarded this great country for over 200 years. While the two Pats march on with their conservative social far right inquisition, President Clinton, in the shadow of grass root fear and apprehension, more comfortably anticipates an early Presidential win in November '96!
