Subject: Council of Europe will grant NGO status to ILGA

Dear friends

I have the privilige, honor and pleasure to inform you that the secretariat 
general of the Council of Europe has decided to grant consultative status to 
ILGA.

Unless objections are raised from the Committee of Ministers or from the 
Parliamentary Assembly the decision will become effective from 15 January 1998.

Congratulations to ILGA.
