The International GAy Rodeo Association [IGRA] announced its election of new
officers for the 1997-98 rodeo year at the 13th annual convention in Salt LAke
City, July 25-27, 1997. The IGRA Convention was hosted by the Utah Gay Rodeo
Association and held at the Salt Lake City Hilton. 

The delegation seated 20 member associations as follows:

New officers elected for the 1997-98 year are as follows:

Vice President - Robb Sisneros, NMGRA
Secretary - Ron Trusley, AGRA
Treasurer -  David Hill, CGRA

All of these individuals have a long history with IGRA and have extensive
experience in the various facets of IGRA. 

THe convention delegates also sanctioned 23 rodeos for the 1997-98 rodeo year

This is a record number of rodeos for IGRA with the addition of the Northern
Sierra Rodeo in Sacramento and the return of the rodeos in Wichita, Colorado
Springs , Chicago and Atlanta. 

THe 14th Annual IGRA Convention will also be held in Baltimore, MD on July
29-August 3, 1998, along with the annual IGRA Country Westren Dance Finals
Competition. 

The IGRA exists to foster national and international amateur rodeo and related
activiteis which preserve or educate the public regarding countrywestern
