IGLHRC's mission is to protect and advance the human rights of all people and communities subject to discrimination or abuse on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, or HIV status. Our constituency, therefore, includes people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and anyone living with HIV or AIDS. IGLHRC responds to such human rights violations around the world through documentation, advocacy, coalition building, public education, and technical assistance. Our overarching commitment is to defend the rights of people worldwide to define their own sexualities and gender identities. Location: San Francisco Job Description: The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of the organization with overall responsibility for the operations, programs, administration, day-to-day management, planning and fundraising for the organization. The organization's current budget is $1.25 million, and the staff numbers 16 in offices in San Francisco and New York, USA. Qualifications desired: Experience in international human rights work; experience working on LGBT issues; significant management experience; fundraising experience, particularly with individual donors and foundations; experience and excellence in public speaking and visionary leadership; sensitivity to working internationally, particularly in developing countries; critical analysis of social, political conditions of social change and organizing; commitment to maintaining diversity in the organization; willingness to travel.
