The International Association of Lesbian/Gay Pride Coordinators, Inc. (IAL/GPC) is a non-profit organization made up of many cities producing Gay & Lesbian Pride events worldwide. We hold a yearly conference over the Coumbus Day weekend to conduct corporate business, discuss future plans, politcal concerns, merchandising, operations, logistics, for the planning and production of a variety of Gay Pride events that are held around the globe. The International Gay Pride Theme is also chosen by the general membership in the plenary session. "From Silence to Celebration" is the theme for 1995. The IAL/GPC was founded fifteen years ago in Boston by a core group of twelve cities, and has grown year by year to include over 60 cities and organizations attending the conference. There is no criteria for membership other than holding a 'pride event' the previous year of the conference in some form (picnic, party, dance, parade, festival, etc). In 1995, the IAL/GPC has produced the first 'Global Pride Calendar' listing over 120 cities in North America and over 20 in Europe holding Pride Events this year. For further information on specific city events or a copy of the 1995 Global Pride Calendar simply e-mail us. Requests may also be made for the InterPride '95 Conference to be held in Phoenix, October 5-8th. Contact us at or . For 1995 we have estimated that Gay Pride events will publicly mobilize over 6 million people in North America alone, to celebrate being Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgendered...and empower all to take pride in themselves and in who they are. Pride is the foundation of our community, and on this foundation we build a better tomorrow for us all! FROM SILENCE TO CELEBRATION.......wishing you the happiest Gay Pride to date!
