Organizational Description

The Gay And Lesbian Association of Retiring Persons TM (GLARP), an 
international, non-profit
{501 (c)(3)] membership organization, has been launched to enhance the aging 
experience of gays and lesbians.  It fills a void in the gay and lesbian 
community for retirement-related information and services, as well as 
providing an ideal environment in which to further research, anticipate and 
provide for its membership's unique needs.  Its ultimate plan includes 
establishment of independent retirement communities and assisted living for 
gays, lesbians, and those who are gay-lesbian friendly, as well as development 
of skilled nursing facilities.  

Benefits and Services

Current:

    Quarterly newsletter which will provide new, useful benefits and 
information relevant to the retirement needs of gays and lesbians.
    Cellular phones and services: special services from Celluland. 
    Wellness-related services: Feldenkrais neuromuscular re-education.
    Legal services: at a reduced rate, for a low annual fee.
    Caskets:   discounts for casket purchase.
    Tax benefits: your donations are tax-deductible.
    Car rentals: car rental at reduced rates for U.S. and Europe.

Involvement Opportunities for Businesses

GLARP is looking for businesses and other organizations that wish to become 
supportive of
GLARP's purpose and goal of providing superior, retirement-related information 
and services to
its membership by making a tax donation to GLARP or an offering to coordinate 
your services

Involvement Opportunities for Individuals

GLARP invites members of the gay and lesbian community, and others sympathetic 
with
GLARP's purposes, to join and become involved in lending direction to each
