Sincerely, GAY DAZE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 29, 1996 GAY DAZE BRINGS 7TH ANNUAL GLAAD MEDIA AWARDS ONLINE Los Angeles, CA [http://www.gaydaze.com] - Gay Daze, first gay and lesbian cybernet drama on the Internet, will bring the 7th annual GLAAD Media Awards on-line by sponsoring a live, on-line chat at the event. The Media Awards will take place on March 10 in Los Angeles and New York. This will be the first gay and lesbian event to be chronicled in cyberspace. The 7th Annual Media Awards, sponsored by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), honors individuals and programs that have supported the cause of dignity and equal rights for lesbians and gay men. This year's recipients will include ABC News correspondent Barbara Walters for Excellence in Media, and Sid Sheinberg for his efforts to establish domestic partnership benefits at MCA and other major entertainment studios. Gay Daze (http://www.gaydaze.com), which was launched in December 1995, is the first gay and lesbian episodic series on the Internet. Set in Southern California, it follows the lives of six friends as they navigate the freeways of love and life in Los Angeles. "We're tremendously excited to be part of the Media Awards," states Arlene Krantz, executive producer of GAY DAZE and president of Gay Entertainment Multimedia. "Not only do we want to entertain our audience, but we want to connect them with the community, and we can do that by being involved with events like this." GAY DAZE is creating a special Media Awards Chatroom where visitors can join the Media Awards party.
