7TH ANNUAL GLAAD MEDIA AWARDS TO GO LIVE ON THE WORLD WIDE WEB

LOS ANGELES, CA -- March 6, 1996 -- The 7th Annual GLAAD Media Awards will
hold a live on-line chat during this year's event on Sunday, March 10 in
Los Angeles.  Gay Daze, a gay and lesbian cybernet drama on the Internet,
will sponsor the on-line chat at the awards ceremony.  Those participating
in the chat will include celebrity presenters, nominees, GLAAD officials
and ceremony attendants.  GLAAD's Media Awards web page at
http://www.glaad.org/glaad/media-awards will provide more information about

The 7th Annual GLAAD Media Awards will honor those whose programming helps
overcome the stereotyping, discrimination and violence against members of
the lesbian and gay community.  The Awards were created in 1990 to
celebrate the organization's successes and to congratulate those whose work
exemplifies the tremendous improvements that have been made in media
coverage of the communities GLAAD represents.

This year's honorees include Boy George, "The Celluloid Closet" and Sid
Sheinberg, former president of MCA.  They will be presented their awards by
Ellen DeGeneres, Paul Reiser, David Schwimmer and Cybill Shepherd, among
others.

The GLAAD Media Awards are underwritten in part by a generous contribution
