GLAAD ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF GLAAD.ORG

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) announces the launch
of GLAAD.ORG as a way of truly networking GLAAD's presence around the
country via the Internet.  Through the contribution of the New York based
Mediapolis, Inc., which has been creating web sites for businesses and
organizations around the world, including RCA, Zoo Entertainment and OUT
magazine, GLAAD's offices and chapters are linked electronically.  The
linkage includes GLAAD's monitoring sites and will create a resource for
the on-line gay and lesbian community and media.  GLAAD.ORG allows for flow
of information internally, and provides GLAAD a means to post directly to
the web.  Database information and archival material will also be made
available through the web site.

"This is a significant contribution to GLAAD," said Loren Javier, GLAAD's
Information Systems Manager, "As GLAAD is an information intensive
grassroots organization with national offices, seven founding chapters and
more than a score of monitoring affiliates throughout the country, it was
necessary for GLAAD to expand its role on the Internet to broadcast to the
organization's growing base of grassroots volunteers and monitoring sites.
GLAAD.ORG will allow us to do so quicker and easier."

GLAAD acknowledges Mediapolis for all of its help and contribution to
