Mission Statement:

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation of Chicago is a membership
organization dedicated to fight against homophobia in newspapers,
magazines, on television, in radio, and in other acts of defamation. We
also promote positive images of lesbians and gays and educate whenever
possible the heterosexual community about our lives, issues and concerns.
