Produced by Montreal-based Productions La Fête in association with Showtime, Channel 4 Television and Working Title Television/Propaganda Films, the 6 new episodes will air on Showtime beginning June 7. Like the original Peabody Award-winning series, Armistead Maupin's More Tales of the City follows a diverse cast of characters-among them, the residents of 28 Barbary Lane-through heartbreak, triumph and gleeful coincidences. Set in San Francisco in 1977, axnd beginning only six weeks after the first series ended, the new mini-series stars returning cast members Olympia Dukakis, Laura Linney, Thomas Gibson, William Campbell, and Barbara Garrick, and features guest appearances by Swoosie Kurtz, Parker Posey and Ed Asner. The poignant and humorous Armistead Maupin's More Tales of the City features leading gay, lesbian, and transgendered characters portrayed in a poignant, accurate and uplifting light. Joan M.
