Karl Clark, Executive Vice President of AmFedVets, although disappointed with the indifference toward the physical, mental, professional, financial, and social status of many other servicemembers like Dirk Sellend, Tracy Thorne, Mark Phillips, Barbara Baum, et.al. supports this decision as a possible small step in the direction of logical credibility and ethical sensibility. The Board of Directors of AmFedVets asks that all concerned citizens support this action and advise the President that although the decision has not satisfied the basic desires of the community it is a minimal step in the direction of equality of rights for all and a sign of symbolic dialogue that may weaken some of the subliminal bigotry and hate which was systemic in the codification of the military ban.
