Date: Fri, 19 Jul 1996 13:12:25 -0400 (EDT) From: Rick Rosendall Subject: Gay chorus director killed on TWA Flight 800 I am forwarding this message from the gay chorus listserve for your consideration as a news item. David Hogan, music director of Le Choeur International Gai de Paris (CIGAP), and baritone Jean-Paul Galland, were aboard TWA flight 800 on their way home to Paris from GALA Choruses Festival V in Tampa, Florida, where CIGAP had performed along with about 100 other choruses from around the world during the week of July 6 to July 13. I do not have any information about this incident other than the message below from CIGAP President Clark Taylor. I would mention, however, that CIGAP takes its name from the fact that, while the majority of its members are French, it has members from many nations (Mr. Hogan, for example, was from the United States). You may wish to call Ken Cole, Executive Director of the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses, at GALA Choruses headquarters in Washington, DC, at (202)467-5830, for comment. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
