Thanks. ------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------ last night an area public tv station screened the one-hour video "Inner Journeys, Public Stands," about our wonderful "strayt" allies in Colorado. well! this is one of the VERY BEST videos on our movement and issues i've seen. it does NOT preach to the converted. quite the contrary, it tells the difficult, interesting, sometimes amusing, sometimes painful, always challenging journeys a wide variety of people in CO went through to become allies AND to speak up about it during the Amendment 2 struggle. this video would be FANTASTIC when screened before straight audiences, even including church audiences, and ESPECIALLY before POLICY MAKERS. this shows folks a light on the path and gives them some real good clues, hints, sound bites, etc. to empower them to become allies and to become advocates re LGBT issues. in other words, this is a GREAT organizing tool for educating educational policy makers. ***DO NOT CONTACT THE SENDER OF THIS MESSAGE RE THE VIDEO. DO NOT HIT REPLY. HERE'S HOW YOU GET IT: 1-800-876-7676, which is the automated order number for KBDI TV, which produced the video. Their address is POB 1740, Denver CO 80201. The video costs $29.95 including shipping and handling (I just called to order one for myself). They also sell Brian McNaught videos. The phone system takes credit cards. I'm not sure about checks...call and listen to the message. p.s. there was a weird little moment in the video where the script was talking about the difficulty some allies have in speaking up and the screen showed Congresswoman Pat Schroeder, among others. I had always thought Schroeder was a strong ally. Does anyone know whether she did or did not speak up about Amendment 2 during the campaign in 1992??? *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+ OK TO RE-POST. Jessea Greenman The P.E.R.S.O.N.
