One of the men decides to marry a woman to keep his traditional Chinese parents from learning of his gayness. - OVERKILL: THE AILEEN WUORNOS STORY (CC). Airs Fri. 1/12/96, 9:00 pm, Lifetime cable. TV Guide calls this a "Docudrama about the 1990-91 police dragnet for a Florida serial killer (Jean Smart) whose victims were older men who picked her up along the roads." Last week I reminded readers that the British sitcom ARE YOU BEING SERVED - which airs on some PBS stations - has a gay/bi character. I've received numerous notes with local air dates/times/channels for this show. I'm sorry folks, but I've gotten so many notes that it really isn't practical for me to list them all! I urge interested viewers to check their local PBS listings. 2. A reader asked me to also pass on that another British import, EASTENDERS, "had two lesbian characters and a character with HIV". This also airs on PBS stations, so check your local listings for this one, too. 3. There will be a 20/20 segment on transgendered police & fire officers sometime in January (air date unknown). 20/20 airs on Fridays at 10:00 pm ET on ABC. Interested readers may want to check for this segment each week.
